Psychologist (BAPsych(Hons), MAClinPsych)
Hello, I’m Cindy a registered psychologist and clinical registrar in the clinical psychology program. If there’s one thing that many people agree on, I think it’s that relationships are hard! I love working with people to heal and foster good relationships. Building healthy relationships has the potential to enhance your life.
I have experience working with people during the pregnancy and postpartum period. I enjoy assisting people on their journey through motherhood or fatherhood, as the parenting journey can be challenging and parents need support, particularly during the early years. I also have an interest in supporting people with relationships of all kinds, including between couples and families and helping people build a healthy relationship with themselves. I have experience working with people of all ages and I enjoy providing support to both children and adults.
During therapy, I provide a warm, attuned space where you can feel safe and not feel judged. My therapeutic style is one where our sessions are much like a conversation, which means you can expect, laughter, tears and everything in between. My aim is that you leave each session feeling empowered and heard.
As I have experience and training in a range of therapeutic techniques I blend various therapy styles together in sessions, tailoring these to your unique individual needs. I draw from psychological theories and techniques particularly attachment, trauma informed and mindfulness based approaches. I also enjoy incorporating holistic approaches such as spirituality.
If you’re looking for support around pregnancy, postpartum, parenting or relationships of all kinds, I would love to connect with you. I truly believe that good relationships are central to living a fulfilling life and look forward to going on the journey with you.
