About me:

I’m a Clinical Psychologist with a warm, gentle, genuine and down-to-earth style. I work with children, young people (up to age 25) and parents, and can help with a variety of concerns including anxiety, depression, self-esteem, neurodiversity, social, emotional and behavioural difficulties, school and friendship issues, bullying, organisation, issues with feeding, sleep and toileting, gender parenting, coping with stressful life events, gender identity, OCD and more.

I also have a particular interest in supporting individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds (being a first-generation Australian of mixed Asian and European heritage myself), including with issues relating to identity, and the influence of culture on parenting, relationships and mental health.

I originally trained in Organisational Psychology and have experience working with a variety of presenting issues across public mental health, vocational rehabilitation, disability, educational, not-for-profit and private practice settings, in both Perth and Melbourne. I believe that my clients are the experts in their own lives, and view therapy as a collaborative process. I aim to provide a safe, reflective, and non-judgemental space, where we can celebrate and leverage your existing strengths, learn new skills, develop tailored plans to help you to achieve your goals, and increase your satisfaction with your life and relationships.

My approach integrates various evidence-based therapeutic frameworks including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), as well as techniques drawn from Positive Behaviour Support, mindfulness, play therapy and attachment based approaches.

When I’m not working, I love travelling, exercise, cooking (and eating), trying to keep my plants alive, and spending time with my son, husband, family and friends.
