I am a Senior Psychologist registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a full member of the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc. I bring a broad range of mental health training, experience and maturity to my work. I offer counselling services to Women. I am a good listener and aim to offer useful and practical strategies in my sessions.
I’ve worked in a range of settings including Private Practice, Health Agencies and Government settings. I have extensive experience treating anxiety and supporting individuals struggling with work stress, career difficulties, burnout and life changes. I enjoy helping women to identify their strengths so they can draw on these in challenging times. I have extensive experience as a Child Psychologist, Educator and Youth Worker and can offer women tailored and helpful parenting advise. It is rewarding to teach client’s Mindfulness practices to assist in the management of chronic pain and chronic health conditions.
My approach is holistic and mindful and delivered in a warm compassionate manner. I value creating a safe and private therapeutic space where you are able to genuinely express your concerns. I recognise the importance of tailoring treatment to each person’s specific needs and goals. Together at the first session we will identify and document these into a treatment plan and work towards sustainable change, improved well-being and conscious living.
So, how does this all work? Well we use evidenced based treatment. This means we look to the scientific research that informs us as to what helps best. This includes Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness/Meditation, Positive Psychology, Psychology Education and Solution Focused Therapy (Problem Solving).
