Rui (Ray) Koh

Clinical Psychologist (BSocSci(Psych), MAClinPsych)

I am a clinical psychologist who values the importance of creating a safe, warm and engaging environment for clients and to work collaboratively and respectfully with them to achieve their goals. I am interested in working with adults (aged 18 and above) seeking to address their mental health struggles or feeling “stuck” in their current life situation. I take a client focused approach and integrates Cognitive Behavioural therapy, Acceptance and Commitment therapy, Solution Focused therapy, mindfulness, Dialectical behavioural therapy and Schema therapy where appropriate to suit the needs of the clients.

I am interested in working with clients with adjustment disorder, anxiety and mood disorders, substance use issues, stress, trauma, relationship issues, workplace issues, amongst others. Additionally, I am particularly keen on working with people with culturally diverse background struggling with acculturation issues.

I have experience working with adults in the private practice and public hospital. I also have experience delivering substance use programs in the forensic setting. Outside of private practice, I currently work as a senior psychologist in an acute mental health team, working with people experiencing an acute mental health crisis.
