How much do I pay if I am bulk billed? Emma

Bulk billing means that the bulk of your costs associated with your appointment are covered through Medicare funding.  If you book with PsychHelp and you are eligible for bulk billing you will not need to pay an up front fee for the session.  We will claim the cost of the session from Medicare.

You will need to complete an Assignment of benefit Medicare bulk bill claim form (DB020) before your session.

To be eligible for bulk billing you will need to be able to access Medicare rebates and have a pension or health care card.  If you are unsure if you are eligible you are welcome to contact PsychHelp at [email protected] or 1300 14 HELP (1300 14 4357).  Alternatively, you can talk to your GP or phone Medicare at 132 011. If you are concerned about the costs of therapy, please discuss these with your Psychologist as they may be able to assist you with a plan to help you manage your costs.

If you are not eligible for a bulk billed appointment you may have a small gap fee to pay.  If you are not eligible for Medicare benefits you can choose to pay for the appointment privately.
